Michigan Association of Ambulance Services: Advocating for Michigan’s EMS Heroes
MAAS is a statewide association representing and advocating for ambulance services. MAAS delivers value to its members through leadership, advocacy and education.
MAAS members proudly serve nearly 80 percent of Michigan counties and were responsible for 870,000 ambulance transports in the state in 2023. In addition to traditional ambulance services, MAAS members operate community paramedicine, ER diversion and 9-1-1 services in several areas of the state.
MAAS increases awareness of the EMS industry and provides continuing education opportunities each year. Annually, MAAS organizes the Michigan EMS Expo, the largest EMS educational conference and trade show in the state. Every other year, MAAS also hosts the Stars of Life recognition event, honoring Michigan’s EMS Heroes.
